Year Three have started a worm farm for their unit on Living Things!!
Here are some questions we have been discussing:
Why are we learning about worms?
Would a worm be a good pet?
Is it easy to create a worm farm? What do you need to create a worm farm?

We are learning about worms because we are learning about living things and their environment.
I think worms would make a good pet because they are very easy to look after. You only have to feed and water them every two or three days.
It is easy to make a see through worm farm. All you need is an old fish tank with a towel to cover it. You then need to put in some sand, peat, compost and soil for them to crawl around in.

Wow that's fantastic! A worm would make a very quiet and easy pet.
